| Rapid chlamydia testing
The Womens Health Clinic is pleased to offer our patients the convenience of rapid chlamydia testing. We can now test for chlamydia infection using a urine sample and provide a result within 30 minutes. This allows women who are worried about possible infection to put their minds at ease immediately, rather than waiting one week for the result. The cost of this test is €80 with one of our doctor and €60 with Emma our practice nurse (includes consultation). |

| Flu vaccine
The flu season is upon us and the HSE has issued a flu vaccine for the 2012/2013 winter. The vaccine is available at the Womens Health Clinic. The cost of the vaccine is €55 (there is no charge for the vaccine itself). Women who should receive the vaccine include

| Cryotherapy for warts and verrucas
The Womens Health Clinic can now offer a new and improved cryotherapy service. We recently invested in top quality liquid nitrogen equipment which is much more efficient at treating warts and verrucas. The lesions are frozen by applying the liquid nitrogen directly to them. Emma, our practice nurse has extensive training in using the system and she runs 3 clinics weekly. |

| The Womens Health Book – a guide for the Irish woman
Dr Rachel Mackey has written a comprehensive guide to womens health which will be available in bookshops in January 2013. It deals with many different aspects of womens health, covering health form the teenage years up to the later years in life. The book will also be available to buy at the Womens Health Clinic.
